by Lanis for everyone

He said: Dear God,

I pray that YOU will protect this little boy, guide and deliver him away from his misery. I pray that we will be more sensitive towards the world around us and not be blinded by our own selfish nature and interests.

I hope this picture will always serve as a reminder to us that how fortunate we are and that we must never ever take things for granted.

Let's make a prayer for the suffering in anywhere anyplace around the globe and send this friendly reminder to others "Think & look at this... when you complain about your food and the food we wasted daily....... .

About the picture:
" PULITZER  PRIZE "  winning  photo  taken  in  1994  during  the  Sudan  famine.
The  picture  depicts  a  famine  stricken  child  crawling  towards  an  United  Nations  food  camp,  located  a  kilometer  away.
The  vulture  is  waiting  for  the  child  to  die  so  that  it  can  eat  it.  This  picture  shocked  the  whole  world.  No  one  knows  what  happened  to  the  child,  including  the  photographer  Kevin Carter  who  left  the  place  as  soon  as  the  photograph  was  taken.
Three  months  later  he  committed  suicide  due  to  depression.

I got this off an email from Minie... Think it's an eye opener and a good reminder of how fortunate and lucky we truly are to be where we are in life JUST coz you CAN SEE THIS MESSAGE... That whatever our shit load in life is, we have it good anyway...

God be with you all...

Lanis

Kevin Carter (1961 - 1994)

Started to merely comment on this, then I thought about it and decided to "Blog about this entry".  Maybe together we can increase the traffic and the awareness and the prayer.  -  Barbara

A photo that pulls you up short.  Yes, we should each and everyone of us count our blessings and remember those that have nothing.  A very thought provoking and sensitive posting, thank you.

Once GOD said to me

"Your job is to take care of anybody, everybody you can.

MY job is to take care of you."

GOD always does HIS job fantastically.

When I see pictures like this, I feel so ashamed that I am NOT
  doing my best.

This life is the only chance we have to help anybody to any great degree.
We can tell them the Good News of JESUS CHRIST and save their soul from
death.  We can feed the sick, clothe the needy, visit the incarcerated,
and feeble... ALL WE DO FOR OTHERS is as if we were doing it for
  JESUS CHIRST HIMSELF.

after we get to heaven, when will we be able to bless our BELOVED SAVIOUR
at all?
HE knows no lack in heaven, nor does anyone.

IF YOU LOVE JESUS, YOU CAN BLESS HIM NOW!

Thank you so much Barbara for your caring, and posting.

love in JESUS,
Cammie
