If you think that David Hogan is all huff and puff, or all talk, think again. He goes and he does.
While most others talk theory, he puts his faith into action and serves the poor and helpless.
When Hurricane Katrina devastated the area that he and his team come from, they rallied together
their resources and went to help those in need. They have been doing the same in Mexico
for many years. Even so, he still has to consciously choose to place himself in situations
where Jesus is the only answer, or he will grow complacent.
Brother David also addresses a major concern facing America today: Islamic extremists.
Were you aware that many thousands are turning to Christ every year in these regions,
where all we see on the news are car bombs and beheadings?
But it takes people willing to go and give up their lives to bring the gospel to them.
It takes the power of God demonstrated to them, not just words. Jesus in you
has the power to change nations, if you will surrender your life to the Kingdom of God.
Every day, Christians are raped, tortured, imprisoned, and murdered, just for being Christians.
Voice of the Martyrs reports that thousands of Christian girls in these regions are kidnapped,
sexually assaulted, and threatened with death if they refuse to convert to Islam. We rarely hear
about it because we live a highly insulated life in the United States. The free press would rather
talk about minor political scandals than real human issues. But Jesus promised us that we would
be hated, because He was hated. "Those who kill you will think they are doing God a service."
Nevertheless, He sends us out as sheep among wolves. And we will win many to Christ by doing so.
