Finding Comfort in GOD's HOLY Law

Deu 24:1 When a man hath taken a wife, and married her, and it come to pass that she find no favor in his eyes, because he hath found some uncleanness in her: then let him write her a bill of divorcement, and give it in her hand, and send her out of his house.

Deu 24:2 And when she is departed out of his house, she may go and be another man's wife.

Just today, I recieved an email from a friend who has been praying with me about divorce and remarriage...as she ministers to many people, I am touched she remembers me and my dilema:

RECENTLY I WAS IN A CHAT WHERE THEY TAUGHT ON DIVORCE AND REMARRIAGE... AND BEINGS THAT JUST RECENTLY WE HAVE BEEN CONNECTED WITH MANY MESSIANICS BELIEVERS ...I WROTE AND ASKED FOR ADDTIONAL INPUT... AND THIS IS WHAT WAS SENT TO ME..
I RECALL SEVERAL MONTHS AGO, YOUR PROCLAIMING YOUR SINFULNESS FOR GETTING REMARRIED..I HOPE THIS BRINGS A GREATER UNDERSTANDING IN YAH TO YOU AND YOURS IN YESHUA AMAYN

God bless you!!  As the apostle Paul said, let each one be sure of God's will in deciding these matters.  God made allowances for who we are, mankind's fallen state.  Of couse as with all things God allows his children some people can find ways to twist and pervert them.  But you know that even if someone acted rashly, or twisted these laws.......then realized their error and confessed sincerely, our God is faithful and just to clease them of all unrighteousness!  I'm doin this akwardly, but I'm trying to tell you that no matter what your story, it's okay now.  Grace is sufficient.  -  Barbara

My sweet angelrose just presented this question to me about a month or so ago.  I have studied this quite a lot in my time because the answer is so important as to what we believe and what we can prove with God's word.
I was married to an abusive man for many years.  I believed that it was God's will for me to stay with him and trust God to take care of me because I was doing his will.  When it got to be too much, I prayed ernestly that he would cause this man to not want to be with me anymore, if it was his will to alllow me to get out of the situation with me and my children.
That's exactly what happened but it took almost 25 years to do so.  One say he walked away and never looked back.  I hear of him but he is now drunk all the time and strung out on drugs.  Even his own children want nothing to do with him, nor his family or most of his friends. He is poor and unhealthy and has no one.
I have not remarried as of yet but I do believe that God will give me a good man because he knows my heart and that's my true desire.
Because God opened this door for me and allowed me to be free of him, I feel certain he was telling me that he let me leave.  The conditions on which he instructs us are based on a man who is doing the Lords will and ernestly seeking him.
I pray the Lord will show you his will in all of this and you will see that he does love you and he has blesse you and he your new husband.
God bless.
