I take it you don't like Vista very much? Well- I agree, I can't stand it either! None of my old programs work on it, and when I had to buy a new computer, Vista was on all of them. I would have to PAY extra to switch it back to XP which was fine. Now I have so many problems, it would have almost been worth it to spend extra to "downgrade". Everyone I know who has it hates vist, so don't worry about venting! God Bless~ Too bad I only just found you now that J land is closing! Carolyn.
I have Windows Vista on as Acer Aspire PC.......and I love it!!! I did upgrade the RAM as soon as I purchased it. No one hardly puts enough RAM in one to run Vista and think of something else. Will email you a link to a website that will help if RAM is the issue. = Barbara

Barb, I do know that VISTA is incredibly RAM hungry.
(Thanks to the salesman at the pc store)
However, lack of RAM is not the problem here.
VISTA is the problem. A co-worker said VISTA is a CONTROL-freak
is absolutely in control of every program thus slowing down
or shuting them down completely.
Many of my friends and family have it on their new PCs... I would have too,
except when I heard how much TROUBLE they have from it I VOWED never
to buy a pc with VISTA in it.
So, here I am with my OLD XP ..... and LOVING the fact it is blazing faster
than my son's new VISTA that has 12 times the RAM as my old pc.
(His has 3GB RAM mine.... don't laugh 256 mgb. and mine is faster!)
