Mat 6:6
But thou, when thou prayest, enter into thy closet, and when thou hast shut thy door, pray to thy Father which is in secret; and thy Father which seeth in secret shall reward thee openly.7
But when ye pray, use not vain repetitions, as the heathen do: for they think that they shall be heard for their much speaking.8
Be not ye therefore like unto them: for your Father knoweth what things ye have need of, before ye ask him.9
After this manner therefore pray ye: Our Father which art in heaven, Hallowed be thy name.10
Thy kingdom come. Thy will be done in earth, as it is in heaven.11
Give us this day our daily bread.12
And forgive us our debts, as we forgive our debtors.13
And lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from evil: For thine is the kingdom, and the power, and the glory, forever. Amen.Mat 15:27
And she said, Truth, Lord: yet the dogs eat of the crumbs which fall from their masters' table.WHAT?! You may be asking.
I'm serious. Many Christians DO have this type of mentality.
How do I know? That was ME just a couple of months ago.
We had gone to a wonderful meeting, people had come from far distances to worship and seek The LORD GOD ALMIGHTY. We were so blessed to be there. After the praise and worship, the minister preached The WORD of GOD. Then all were invited to come to the front for prayer for whatever they may need from GOD. Many people went forward. I did.
We were all lined up across the front. 2 lines, 3 lines, or more across the front.
I was in the 2nd line. As the prayer team made it's way praying for all at the altar, we continued praising GOD and praying. Soon the prayer team was praying for the brother directly in front of me. I prayed, "O, LORD, bless him alot. Overflowingly, abundantly more than the need, and O, the overflow, LORD, let the overflow come to me. Whatever is left over, even just some crumbs, LORD...."
The team continued on around to everyone who had come forward. My turn came, went, and GOD poured out HIS blessings all around. The service ended beautifully and everyone went home.
As I drove home, The LORD communed with me as I was thanking HIM for the night. Then, I heard in my heart, "Why do you ask for the dog's portion?" and I 'heard' my voice praying and asking "...just even some crumbs, LORD."
Why would I do that? ALMIGHTY FATHER GOD is infinitely richer than all the men on earth who ever lived all put together and multiplied a thousand times.
Why just imagine what would Bill Gates or Donald Trump do if their child came down to eat supper and got under the table just waiting for the crumbs to fall for their dinner?
"GET OUT FROM UNDER THE TABLE!
WHAT'S THE MATTER WITH YOU?!
ARE YOU CRAZY, OR SOMETHING?"
Well, that's what I imagined they might say....
"O Dear FATHER GOD,
I'm so very sorry! WHAT IS THE MATTER WITH ME? I don't know, LORD, but please please, change me.
I'm not even sure what it is I am supposed to be like, but LORD, this isn't it.
I know YOUR WORD says you have predestined that all who come to CHRIST JESUS and accept HIM as their LORD and SAVIOR are to made into HIS IMAGE.
So, that's what I ask, Dear FATHER GOD. To be made into CHRIST's image. And please, keep showing me, any ways I fall short of YOUR IDEAL and HIS IMAGE. So I can repent of it and ask YOUR FORGIVENESS and Changes.
In JESUS HOLY Name I pray
Thank YOU, FATHER,
amen

Thank you for your kind compliment on my journal today! I am very happy to hear that you enjoy it so much. Here is the link you asked for http://journals.aol.com/lilbenedizione/TheKingiscoming/
Your journal is also very interesting!
God Bless!

Oh, Cammie I hear you! All too often we go to God asking for only what we can imagine instead of asking for what He can provide! Perhaps we should throw out our lists and just say, "God give me the best of all that You would have me to have!" Thank God, He often gives us more than we asked for!! A child of the King never has to beg. - Barbara
I just happened to come across this very old post (The King is coming) I made and thought I'd leave an update. I guess it was shortly after that post that aol dropped their journals and we all transferred to blogger. Well, I decided to split my journal up. The new addresses are
Scripture of the Day
http://areyoureadytomeetgod.blogspot.com/
Devotional of the Day
http://propheciesofrevelation.wordpress.com
However, all the old posts from aol are on blogger due to the transfer. It was easier that way.
Anyhow, I am going to link up with you now since I found you!
