the coroner falsely reported cause of death

To Whom It May Concern,

I, (Name Withheld) graduated from Miracle Valley Bible College in May of 1972.

This is my testimony to the death of A. A. Allen. I came to Miracle Valley right after Bro. Allen had died.

I worked as assistant secretary to the secretary, Ada Tye, of Miracle Revival Fellowship.  This office issued and renewed ministers' license.  Our mail was not opened by the mail room.  Our mail was separated and sent directly to our office.

One day as I was opening the mail, a check for $10,000.00 fell out of the envelope. This check was from a religious organization and was made out to the person who sent it.  I thought that perhaps the check was sent to us by mistake.  I read the letter.  The letter was from the coroner that examined Bro. Allen.  He was asking forgiveness for stating to the media a false accusation.  He had stated that Bro. Allen had died of acute alcoholism which caused him to have cirrhosis of the liver.  I immediately gave the letter to Sis Tye, who in turn brought it to Mary Jo, who was on the board of directors.

The board called a meeting and decided that someone from the valley should go and meet with the coroner.  Before anyone did, the coroner hung himself.  The matter was not pursued because of these circumstances.

We had many ministers of this organization which also held a fellowship license with Miracle Revival Fellowship. This was also a determining factor as to keep peace and fellowship with these innocent ministers who had nothing to do with this.  It was felt by the heads of Miracle Revival Fellowship, that Bro. Allen would be remembered as the man of faith and power that he was according to John 3:2c.  Bro. Allen's death certificate stated that he died of cardiac arrest.  So it seemed the matter was settled.

I am so sorry and do apologize, especially to Bro. Allen's family and all who loved him, that I did not come forth sooner.  I talked to James about two years ago and wished that I would have come forth then.  I don't know why others did not say anything publicly, or maybe they did, but I do not know.  I know it was spoken of privately, because Eunice, (Bro. Allen's sister), had sent me word through a mutual minister friend of ours.

I hope in some way that I have helped someone to understand what really happened.  I do pray that Bro. Allen will be remembered as one of God's special people.  He has left a tremendous legacy for us to follow.  The anointing of God was so strong in his life that demons trembled when in his presence.  A life dedicated to God is what brings this kind of anointing.

Sincerely,

(Name Withheld by the Archive Department of Miracle Valley Bible College & Seminary - Miracle Valley, Arizona USA)

A.A.ALLEN

THE ALLEN I KNEW

Paul J. Cunningham, D.D.

I have been asked by some, to "set the record straight" concerning A. A. Allen, by writing about the man I personally knew. Because of the confusion, and the continual attacks on this man who has been dead for 30 years, (as though he were such a "force" that certain parties must discredit him), I have agreed to do so.

I was in a city-wide revival meeting in the Veterans Memorial Auditorium, in Vallejo, California, February, 1965. Late one night, after having a tremendous outpouring of the Spirit of God in the service, then returning to my apartment, I went to bed at approx. 1:30 A.M. At about 2 A.M., the room filled with light, and, suspecting that someone had entered and turned on the light, I sat up in bed and looked around. The room was empty of any human being, but filled with a glorious, supernatural light, and in the midst of the light, stood an Angel of God.

The Angel spoke:

"Fear not, I am sent of God to instruct you and tell you of a New Move of God that is beginning in the earth". . .  "This move will be called Restoration Revival, and will bring restoration to the Church, the Body of Christ, and will be different from any other revival the world has ever known. . . as it will climax with the physical return of Jesus Christ".

The Angel continued:

"You are to close your crusade here in Vallejo, and go to Miracle Valley, Arizona, to minister to A. A. Allen.   These are the words you are to tell him . . .'God has chosen you to spearhead and announce Restoration Revival to the world . . . you will be used of God to begin this New Move, which will continue until Christ returns. You will need New Faith, to take a New Step forward.  This will be granted unto you, and your ministry will grow by leaps and bounds, because the world must hear . . . and you have been chosen by God to announce it to them.' "

The Angel told me also:

"Go to Miracle Valley and you will be given further instruction . . . go at once."

I closed my crusade the following evening, and drove to Miracle Valley, and after waiting on the Lord for three days, the door opened for me to minister personally to A. A. Allen, during the evening meeting. (The story was carried in the April, 1965 edition of Miracle Magazine, which we have available on floppy disk).

For the next 6 years, (until his death in 1970) I was a prophet to the Allen Ministry, and a close personal friend of A. A. Allen. I ate at the same table with him, often slept in the same motels, was in many of the revival meetings he conducted across America, and was his "agent" in the UK. I was an "invited guest speaker" in all the subsequent Camp Meetings. (twice each year in Miracle Valley).

Given these circumstances, I feel I am qualified to speak about Bro. Allen and his life and ministry.

First, I want to go on record by saying . . .  "I have never seen anyone cast out more devils, than Bro. Allen did." According to Jesus Christ, . . ."Satan does not cast out Satan, else his kingdom would be divided and not stand..."

Secondly, A. A. Allen kept the tightest schedule of any man I have ever known, never was late to a meeting, never missed a service without making prior arrangements for someone to fill in. These are not the "marks of an alcoholic."

Next, I never saw one thing in the life of this man that was "un-Christ like". . . he had more compassion than any other person I have known . . . spent many hours in prayer. . . loved lost souls. . . All the marks of a Christ-centered life.

Having "walked with him" for 6 years, I can truthfully say, "HE WAS A MAN OF GOD, WHO WALKED WITH GOD, AND THE DEROGATORY STORIES ABOUT HIM, ARE LIES, GENERATED BY SATAN, USING JEALOUSY OF LESSER MEN, AND THE CARNAL DESIRE OF OTHERS TO ATTEMPT TO DISCREDIT HIS WORK AND THE PROPHECIES GIVEN BY HIM."

The "Knoxville Incident". . .

Both Bro. Allen and H. Kent Rogers, (his vice-president and crusade song leader) told me the same story, separate from each other.

The Allen party was in revival in the Auditorium at Knoxville, Tennessee. in the mid 1950's . . . There was no church large enough to accommodate the crowds, so the auditorium was chosen. The local pastors of the denomination he belonged to at that time, were clamoring for the "headquarters" to force Allen to "come back into the churches, where he belonged". . . (The real reason for the pressure to go back into the churches, was due to the fact that the local church would then receive the tithe from the offerings received; whereas, in the auditorium meetings, only the denominational headquarters got any tithe).

When Allen refused to "return to the churches", because the crowds attending the meetings were too big for any church to accommodate, the "preachers" decided to "rule or ruin" the Allen ministry!

Bro. Allen drove from the motel in Knoxville, to the auditorium each night, accompanied by Bro. Rogers, and one or two others of the team.  Since Allen did not eat before the service, he stopped at a local cafe on the way, to have a glass of milk.

This particular evening in question, he remarked to Rogers, "Rog, that milk tasted funny". . . Rogers responded, "perhaps it was blinky," meaning about to sour. . .

They then left the cafe for the meeting, and after driving a couple of blocks, Bro. Allen told Rogers, "I feel really dizzy, and think I'd better let someone else drive."  He pulled over, and when he stopped, the media were there, accompanied by several denominational pastors, and the police. (What a strange coincidence!)

Allen was then "ticketed" for DUI, and given a citation and allowed to proceed. He went to the auditorium , conducted the meetings, and in the following days newspaper, the headlines screamed, "Evangelist Allen arrested for drunk driving". . .

Allen and Rogers both told me this story. . . and thatAllen simply "paid the ticket" and went on, rather than interrupt the schedule of meetings. They both felt that the goal of the "vendetta" was to "stop the Allen meetings."  When the denomination demanded that Allen "stop his ministry", he refused, and "went independent."  That meant an end to the large "tithe" they had been receiving, so they continued to attempt to "blackball" the Allen ministry.

In Allen's own words, "All the criticism directed against this ministry can be summed up in three words, MONEY, MONEY, MONEY!"

When God multiplied the Allen ministry, and his Miracle Magazine was being read by five million readers each month, the devil was "outraged" to say the least.

I spoke with Bro. Allen by telephone, from England, just a few days prior to his death. He told me he was "going to San Francisco, with Gerald King (his brother-in-law, and executive director) to meet with Burney Schwartz, to re-do the radio contracts." (The Allen Revival Hour was then carried on approximately 186 stations daily.)

I returned to the U.S. and a couple of days later, he died. I spoke with Gerald King, and others; read the Medical Examiners report, and was also an "honor guard" at his funeral.

Gerald King said, "We were in the Jack Tar Hotel in San Francisco in the late afternoon, and Bro. Allen said, 'Jerry, I feel tired, I believe I'll rest a bit, before we go to dinner.' " Jerry said, "I went to my room, and about 8:00 P.M. began to be concerned because I hadn't heard from Allen. I phoned his room, got no reply, so went up and knocked on the door, and still got no reply.  I then proceeded to get the manager who opened the door, and we found Bro. Allen slumped over in an easy chair, dead."

The medical Examiner issued a certificate of death, stating the cause of death as "an apparent heart attack."

Many stories have been told, some stating that "the room was full of empty liquor bottles," and others, that he "died an alcoholic". . . but they are all lies, based on "narrow minded, evil surmisings," by people who would rather discredit the ministry, than to "believe the truth."  Believing the truth, requires one to accept the prophecies, and act upon them.

Many prophecies are yet unfulfilled. . . "My Vision of the Destruction of America," which Allen saw atop the Empire State Building. .  . and others.

We have reprinted many of Allen's books, and plan to reprint all of them, including "My Vision". . .

If Allen was "of the devil," and "died an alcoholic," then, why is it he did more for God, cast out more devils, got more sick healed, than any other ministry, and those who continually criticize him, have, for the most part, made little or no progress in "doing the work of God" in their own ministries?

If he were not of God, then why do some "find it necessary" to assassinate his character, demean his ministry, and slander his name, 30 years after his death?

60 WAYS TO BLESS ISRAEL AT 60

BREAKING NEWS:
Israel's celebrations were, unfortunately, short-lived. New corruption charges against Israeli Prime Minister Ehud Olmert have calls for his resignation coming from the left-wing of the political spectrum, as well as the right. Meanwhile, Lebanon is going up in flames as Hezbollah appears to mount a coup effort against the pro-Western government. And Iranian President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad's eschatology is making big news again.
-------------------------------
ORIGINAL POST: Israel turns 60 today on the Jewish calendar. The Joshua Fund team salutes the brave men and women whom God brought back to the Holy Land to fulfill the prophecies of Ezekiel 36 & 37 -- to rebuild the ancient ruins, make the deserts bloom, create an "exceedingly great army" and forge a homeland to protect and defend the Jewish people from all enemies, foreign and domestic. We also salute all those Jews, Christians and other "righteous Gentiles" in the U.S. and around the world who have shown unconditional love and unwavering support to Israel in the face of tremendous opposition. Last month The Joshua Fund gathered 2,000 Christian and Jewish leaders at the international convention center in Jerusalem for the inaugural "Epicenter Conference." We celebrated Israel's birthday, examined the threats facing her at present from radical Islam, and discussed ways Christians could bless Israel at this critical hour. Out of that conference came "60 Ways To Bless Israel At 60." We hope you will be moved to pursue some of these ways in the days and weeks ahead.
  1. Help provide brand new backpacks and school supplies for needy Israeli school children. The Joshua Fund has committed $100,000 to this project, working with Jewish and Christian allies in Israel. The backpacks need to be purchased soon and in bulk to get the best prices. They will be distributed in September, when the new school year begins. Would you consider signing up to make a monthly donation to The Joshua Fund of $25, $40 or $60? All donations are tax deductible. For more information on how to make contributions by mail -- or by secure on-line credit card transactions -- please click here.
  2. Stock one bomb shelter in northern Israel with food, water, a first aid kit, other emergency supplies and a secure storage locker. There are currently some 5,500 bomb shelters that need to be urgently stocked with supplies before the next war. The Joshua Fund is currently raising funds to stock 100 as soon as possible. Cost per bomb shelter: $5,500.
  3. Provide one ton of food to care for needy families in northern Israel who were hit by 4,000 rockets and missiles during the 2006 war with Hezbollah. These families are still recovering from that war. Many live on less than $500 a month. And food prices are rising in Israel, as they are around the globe. Every month, therefore, The Joshua Fund pays for about 10 tons of food to be purchased by one of our allies in Israel, distributed to the needy in the north, as well as stockpiled for the next war. Cost: $2,500 per ton.
  4. Help purchase desperately needed medical equipment such as respirators, ventilators, operating room lamps, mobile x-ray machines and the like for under-funded regional hospitals in Israel. At the request of hospital administrators, The Joshua Fund has adopted the Barzilai Medical Center in the southern Israeli city of Ashkelon to help them raise funds for such equipment. Barzilai is the only hospital and trauma center serving the 500,000 Israelis living near the Gaza border and facing a nearly constant barrage of rockets, missiles and mortars. They are doing heroic work, but they do need our help. Cost: Some of this equipment is very costly, averaging between $20,000 to $80,000 each. A donation of $5,000 would help significantly towards meeting these vital needs.
  5. Help provide food baskets to needy families in Jerusalem on Jewish holidays. Working with our local allies, The Joshua Fund recently helped finance the distribution of 680 food baskets to needy Israeli families for Passover.
  6. Provide food, blankets, wheelchairs and other assistance to Holocaust victims in Israel, many of whom tragically live at or below the poverty level, even within the Jewish State.
  7. Help care for the homeless in Israel.
  8. Help finance soup kitchens in Israel.
  9. Help care for Sudanese refugees in Israel.
  10. Help provide blankets and heaters for the elderly in Israel during the cold winter months, since many do not have -- or cannot afford -- central heating.
  11. Help finance the purchase of vans for Israeli organizations that distribute humanitarian aid so they can get supplies to the people that need them most in a more efficient manner. The Joshua Fund is involved in all these areas of relief work -- caring for Holocaust victims, the homeless, refugees, and others -- and we would be honored to get you involved in funding critically important projects such as these.
  12. Track daily news coverage of Israel in English through The Jerusalem Post.
  13. Track daily news coverage of Israel in English through Ynetnews.com.
  14. Track daily news coverage of Israel in English through Haaretz, one of the leading papers in Jerusalem.
  15. Track the latest statements and interviews by radical Islamic fanatics -- translated into English -- at the website of the Middle East Media Research Institute (MEMRI).
  16. Become a faithful prayer partner for Israel and her neighbors. The Joshua Fund is looking for 100,000 partners to sign up for free "Flash Traffic" email alerts that include analysis and commentary on events and trends in Israel and the epicenter, Joshua Fund project updates, and prayer requests. More than 52,000 people from all over the world have joined already. You can join the team by clicking here.
  17. Take your family on a tour of Israel.
  18. Join us on a future Joshua Fund "Prayer & Vision Trip" to Israel.
  19. Take Hebrew classes for the summer at your local Jewish Community Center.
  20. Make friends with a local Rabbi, find ways to bless the synagogue he runs, and discuss ways to bless Israel together.
  21. Learn more about the Israeli economy and business opportunities through the Federation of Israeli Chambers of Commerce.
  22. Consider investing in Israeli companies listed on the New York Stock Exchange with the help of knowlegeable, qualified financial advisors.
  23. Consider investing in Israeli high tech companies listed on Nasdaq with the help of knowledgeable, qualified financial advisors.
  24. Carve out 30 minutes a day to study the Bible, focusing on God's love and plan for the Jewish people and the nation of Israel.
  25. Carve out 15 minutes a day to pray for peace in Jerusalem (Psalm 122:6)
  26. Learn more about efforts by Israeli and international politicians to divide Jerusalem, and why this would be such a disaster, by visiting Natan Sharansky's organization, OneJerusalem.org.
  27. Sign the One Jerusalem petition to keep Jerusalem the eternal, undivided capital of the Jewish State.
  28. Pray daily for peace on Israel's southern border with Gaza.
  29. Pray daily for peace on Israel's northern borders with Lebanon and Syria.
  30. Pray daily for regime change to come soon in Iran to a moderate, pro-Western, democratic government that will abandon President Ahmadinejad's nuclear ambitions and live at peace with Israel and her neighbors.
  31. Pray daily for wisdom for Israeli, American and NATO leaders to know how to prevent Iran from developing nuclear weapons.
  32. As new elections approach in Israel, Pray for the Lord to raise up leaders like "the men of Issachar, who understood the times and knew what Israel should do" (I Chronicles 12:32, NIV).
  33. Pray that a truly just, fair, and compassionate peace treaty could be forged soon between Israel and Lebanon.
  34. Pray that a truly just, fair and compassionate peace treaty could be forged soon between Israel and Syria.
  35. Pray for new leaders to emerge in the West Bank and Gaza who truly oppose violence against Israel, have the courage and ability to hunt down and imprison Palestinian terrorists, are dedicated to preventing Iran and al-Qaeda from seizing effective control of these disputed territories, and will work tirelessly to stop the incitement of children against the Jewish people in the Palestinian schools and refugee camps.
  36. Pray that a truly just, fair and compassionate peace treaty could be forged soon between Israel and the Palestinians, one that would give the Palestinians true autonomy in the West Bank and Gaza to run their own lives, lead their own government, and have full human rights, civil rights, freedom of religion and freedom of the press, without threatening Israel.
  37. Pray that U.S., European and U.N. leaders would stop pressuring Israel to make unwise concessions in the peace process.
  38. Pray that the U.N. would start fully enforcing the Security Resolutions that ended the Second Lebanon War in 2006, notably by disarming Hezbollah and other militias in the region.
  39. Pray for followers of Jesus in the land of Israel that they would draw close to the Lord, have courage in the face of opposition, be a light in the land, and be a true blessing to their neighbors.
  40. Pray for the followers of Jesus in the West Bank and Gaza that they would also draw close to the Lord, have courage in the face of opposition, be a light in the land, and be a true blessing to their neighbors.
  41. Pray for Israeli and Palestinian believers to find true reconciliation, to become dear friends, to worship the Lord and pray together, and find ways to love their neighbors and their enemies in the name of Jesus.
  42. Pray for evangelical Christians around the world to LEARN more about God's plan and purpose for the people of the epicenter.
  43. Pray for evangelical Christians around the world to PRAY for knowlegeably and consistently for the people of Israel and the epicenter.
  44. Pray for evangelical Christians around the world to GIVE generously and cheerfully to organizations that bless Israel.
