2. Perhaps the main reason we should fast is because Jesus, our Redeemer. Placed a fast upon all of us, Matt.9:15 “and Jesus said unto them, can the children of the bride-chamber mourn, as long as the bridegroom is with them? But the days will come, when the bridegroom shall be taken from them, and then shall they fast. “  We, therefore, are to fast to carry on the works for the Kingdom that Jesus started by His fasting and prayers.
3. We should fast because fasting was a part and parcel of the life of our Lord, Jesus Christ (Matt. 4:1,2; Jn.6:27), and he urged us to follow Him. (Lk. 9:23)
4. Jesus taught fasting as one of the four foundations of the Christian faith. These foundations are: giving, paying, fasting and faith. (Please study Matt.6)
5. Paul was “In fastings often” (II Cor.11:27). He instructed us to be “approving ourselves as the ministers of God (among other things) in fastings” (II Cor.6:5).
6. Every single person in the early church fasted (Acts.14:23). We therefore are not to doless.
7. Fasting enables one to become a conductor of spiritual power for either blessing others or for bringing blessings to himself.
8. Proper fasting with sincerity and respect to the Lord will positively break the yokes of sin, sickness and spiritual oppression. (Is. 58:6)
9. Fasting becomes prayer to the praying Christian. When unable to pray (like David) it enables one to be so anointed that his prayer reaches through to God. Ps.35:13 “I humbled my soul with fasting and my prayer returned unto my bosom.”
10. Fasting intensifies the power of prayer many times so that even short prayers bring results.
11. Fasting reaches and obtains what prayer alone cannot, because it removes unbelief (Matt. <?xml:namespace prefix = st1 ns = "urn:schemas-microsoft-com:office:smarttags" /><st1:time Minute="20" Hour="17">17:20</st1:time>, 21.)
12. Fasting brings one into direct contact with unbelief, so that it can be removed. Unbelief can never be fully apprehended until one fasts from ten to forty days.
13. Fasting is the greatest faith producer because the fasting and the faith organ are one and the same---the mouth organ (<st1:country-region><st1:place>Rom.</st1:place></st1:country-region> 10:9, 10.)
14. Fasting is more closely related to faith than any other Christian work, and in fact is the very gateway to trust and faith in God after conversion. However, because it is little taught about and misunderstood, folk fail to realize its value.
15. Fasting will bring about word-faith power (Lk.4:2, 32, 36.) Jesus’ “word” was not “with power” until after his fast.
16. Fasting will “BLITZKRIEG” the devil. (See above scriptures.)
17. Fasting masters the old man, subjugating the flesh (I Cor. 9:27.) and is mortification of the flesh and members (Col. 3:5.)
18. Fasting pleases the Spirit. The flesh and the Spirit are at enmity with each other.
19. Fasting is the most sure spiritual method to bring a revival. A revival begins in our heart first, then one comes about in the community. Souls become saved.
20. Fasting enables one to transcend the natural and takes one quickly into the spiritual realm. We may become so personal and intimate with Jesus that we can smell his body. He is a sweet smelling savor.
21. Fasting brings one nearer to Christ than any other known process. It enables one to become clothed with the full Baptism of the Holy Ghost and with fire. (Please see Ex. 14; 34:27-35; Deut. 34:7; Is. 58: 1-10;  60: 1-5, 21, 23; 61:10; Matt. 3:11, 12.)
22. There is more judgment pronounced on those given to food addiction than to alcoholic drunkards (in the Bible.) Sin is sin whether it comes under the good name of “food” or under some more insidious term. (Please study Num. 11:9-34; Ps. 78; Matt. 24:38, 39; Lk. <st1:time Minute="34" Hour="21">21:34</st1:time>; and Rom. <st1:time Minute="17" Hour="16">16:17</st1:time>, 18.) Most Christians are unknowingly bound to the sin of “habit hunger” (actually food addiction.) A protracted fast will break this yoke in as little as three days’ time, and will keep an individual free with temperate eating.
23. Fasting will undo all sins of intemperance (after Jesus’ blood has first washedaway our sins.)
24. Fasting will crucify the flesh and all unnatural desires associated with lusts of any appetite gratification.
25. Fasting can be self-chastisement, and will prevent many chastisements of the Lord from coming upon us (I Kings <st1:time Minute="25" Hour="21">21:25</st1:time>-29; Jonah 3:5-10.)
26. Fasting is the easiest way for backsliders to come home. (Study David’s fasts.)
27. Fasting places our natural appetites into a dormant condition, thus physical pleasures are not enjoyed while our flesh becomes sublimated. With pleasurable appetites static, God can come near us and we near him.
28. Fasting thus changes one’s environment from the natural to the spiritual. A revival spirit comes about inside us, along with the proper burdens that we should carry for others.
29. Fasting will change a life of defeat into one of victory and will bring healing and new life to both body and soul.
30. Fasting, when properly entered into, is the surest method of consecration and sanctification.
31. Fasting develops the fruit of the Spirit and enables one to grow into maturity, with matured fruit.
32. Proper fasting will help one to receive spiritual gifts. Most Christians, like the childrenof <st1:country-region><st1:place>Israel</st1:place></st1:country-region>, are wasting 40 years of their lifetime (even with speaking in tongues) without deeper spiritual gift manifestations and without the fruit of the Spirit, just because they fail to fast as they should. (Please study Deut. 8:2, 3: Dan. 1:3-17.)
33. Fasting consumes and burns out the very roots of fleshly lusts.
34. Fasting brings one into the misery and sufferings of the fleshly nature in such a manner that he can see himself in the same light that Jesus sees him. He realizes his nakedness. (Rev. 3:17, 18) so he begins to seek to be clothed with power, receiving the more complete baptism into the Holy Ghost healing fire.
35. Fasting gives the child of God spiritual manifestations in a tangible manner. The absence of the natural menu prepares his appetite for the “Hidden (supernatural) Manna” (Jn. <st1:time Minute="32" Hour="16">4:32</st1:time>, 34; <st1:time Minute="27" Hour="18">6:27</st1:time>-58; Rev. 2:17.)
36. Fasting always brings revelations and better understanding of the Spirit. Sometimes visions and unspeakable glory will also be attained and manifested. (Dan. 10:2-21; Acts. 10:9-16.)
37. Fasting will always enable one to obtain the direction and anointing needed for the work to which he is called.
38. Fasting enlarges our capacity. Many of us have only a thimble-size capacity. We might be full at times, but how full? Shouting and spiritual emotion do not always indicate how large our capacities are. A person may be running over with only a thimble-size capacity. Fasting will give a well-size or even unlimited capacity to enjoy the riches of heaven, immortality, glory, honor and power. (Refer to Jn. 3:34; <st1:country-region><st1:place>Rom.</st1:place></st1:country-region> 2:7; Eph. 4:13.)
39. Fasting and its related terms of expression are mentioned one third as many times in the Bible as prayer. To every two sermons you hear preached on prayer, you should hear a third sermon on fasting. The author asks the reader this question: How many times has he ever heard a sermon on fasting in his lifetime? It is truly deplorable that such a major doctrine in both the Old and New Testaments has been so neglected, ignored and disrespected.
40. The Lord placed a definite fast on the children of <st1:country-region><st1:place>Israel</st1:place></st1:country-region> (Deut. <st1:time Minute="11" Hour="18">6:11</st1:time>, 12; 8:3, 12-14, etc.) in order that their unbelief environment, aquired in the <st1:place><st1:PlaceType>land</st1:PlaceType> of <st1:PlaceName>Egypt</st1:PlaceName></st1:place>, could be broken, and they could more speedily enter into the promised land. Because they rejected these fastings their few days’ journey was drawn out to 40 years. We should take heed to this sad lesson and hasten to fast, so we may enter into the promises that the Lord has waiting for us. (Jn. 11:24-26; II Tim. 1:10; I Jn. 2:25.)
41. Jesus is very much pleased when we come to him in this consecrated manner. As we free ourselves from the natural we exalt him to the highest. Don’t worry, you will be rewarded a thousand times.

Proverbs 1:20 Listen! Wisdom is calling out in the streets and marketplaces,

21 calling loudly at the city gates and wherever people come together:

22 "Foolish people! How long do you want to be foolish? How long will you enjoy making fun of knowledge? Will you never learn?

23 Listen when I reprimand you; I will give you good advice and share my knowledge with you.

24 I have been calling you, inviting you to come, but you would not listen. You paid no attention to me.

25 You have ignored all my advice and have not been willing to let me correct you.

26 So when you get into trouble, I will laugh at you. I will make fun of you when terror strikes---

27 when it comes on you like a storm, bringing fierce winds of trouble, and you are in pain and misery.

28 Then you will call for wisdom, but I will not answer. You may look for me everywhere, but you will not find me.

29 You have never had any use for knowledge and have always refused to obey the LORD.

30 You have never wanted my advice or paid any attention when I corrected you.

31 So then, you will get what you deserve, and your own actions will make you sick.

32 Inexperienced people die because they reject wisdom. Stupid people are destroyed by their own lack of concern.

33 But whoever listens to me will have security. He will be safe, with no reason to be afraid."

Imagine you are a member of a mobile team, traveling from village to village day after day. Putting in long hours and often lacking good water to drink, your circumstances are not easy. But the discomfort is worth it because many are receiving Jesus into their lives. Jolting along the bumpy road you lean forward, anticipating another opportunity to bring the Gospel to the unreached.

I am so thankful for the mobile teams and their sacrifices, because I see the fruit that is coming from their ministry.

Pastor Raji has experienced firsthand the effectiveness of mobile teams. Twice they have helped him reach out to villages that were formerly untouched with the Good News. Their work has brought many souls into the Kingdom. And many who have not yet received Jesus are interested and open to learning more about Him.

Rosalind Goforth (1864-1942) and her husband Jonathan (1859-1936) were Canadian Presbyterian missionaries to China and Manchuria (1888-1934). Rosalind lost five of her ten children during her missionary service. Surviving the Boxer Rebellion of 1900, Rosalind and Jonathan were also greatly affected by the Revival Lectures of Charles G. Finney in 1904, and went on to experience a Chinese extension of the Korean revivals after Jonathan visited Korea in 1907. Those Chinese revivals were documented in Jonathan Goforth's book, By My Spirit. Both took part in the Keswick meetings (1910), following their participation at the World Missionary Conference in Edinburgh, Scotland. Troubled by the liberal tendencies of the Presbytery, i.e., the fundamentalist-modernist controversy, the Goforths left the Home Board (1917). Free to evangelize where they chose, the Chinese Christian warlord, General Feng Yu-hsiang, invited Jonathan to minister to his troops (1919). Jonathan became totally blind in 1933, and when Rosalind became ill in 1934, they decided to return to Canada for good. Rosalind authored a biography of her husband, Goforth of China (1937), and an autobographical sketch of her own experiences, Climbing -- Memories of a Missionary's Wife (1940). Though Chapter 5 ("Our Deliverance from the Boxers" [1900]) would be considered one of the most riveting narrations of this book, it is the last two chapters ("To His Praise" and "Victory Found") that Mrs. Goforth details the Scriptural foundation for prayer and joyful Christian living: (1) a Bible study on prayer (Chapter 9), and (2) the realization of victory in Christ through resting in His indwelling presence (Chapter 10).

The shame is that it is a 'secret'.

TIME ALONE WITH GOD.  FIRST Priority. Best quality- Daily.

First thing in the morning - Proves that GOD is MOST IMPORTANT to you when you get up to worship, praise, adore HIM, read HIS WORD  studiously willingly and obediently, praying and communing with FATHER GOD ALMIGHTY.

Persons* who do this IMPACT THE WORLD forever.

Why?

If you give GOD the 1st part of your day, (2 to 3 hours) that is tithing it to HIM. Anyone who has studied Biblical Tithing knows that when you give GOD the 1st 10th iin GOD's estimation it is consecrating ALL you have. The devil is unable to even touch, much less steal from or destroy that which is in GOD's Hands - consecrated and HOLY to GOD.

In the same way the tithe is a BLESSING upon ALL you have earned - GOD's way of protecting and Blessing that which belongs to you.But HE cannot bless what is not given to HIM...(nor a theif in their theivery).

For I must tell you the truth,no matter what you have heard to the contrary...

   THE TITHE IS HOLY UNTO GOD. IT BELONGS TO HIM.

   ANYONE WHO DOESN'T TITHE  IS ROBBING GOD.

Lev 10:1 And Nadab and Abihu, the sons of Aaron, took either of them his censer, and put fire therein, and put incense thereon, and offered strange fire before the LORD, which he commanded them not.

2 And there went out fire from the LORD, and devoured them, and they died before the LORD.

3 Then Moses said unto Aaron, This is it that the LORD spoke, saying, I will be sanctified in them that come nigh me, and before all the people I will be glorified. And Aaron held his peace.

GOD is HOLY -Extremely HOLY.  HIS Ways are Not our ways. GOD sent us HIS SON to show us HIS Way.

JESUS Said, "I AM THE WAY."

Nadab and Abihu were priests of The Most HOLY GOD. The ALMIGHTY CREATOR of the universe. JESUS Christ's FATHER.

Nadab and Abihu were participating in a worship ceremony to the LORD...when they took incense and offered it to GOD.

GOD KILLED THEM.

Why?

Because GOD did not tell them to do that.

GOD has told us how we are to worship HIM- HE is GOD isn't HE?!

GOD chooses how we worship HIM. HE has it all written in HIS HOLY WORD and gives HIS HOLY SPIRIT to teach us HIS Ways.

Is Your Worship pleasing unto GOD?

Are you sure?

Better find out.

Read and heed the BIBLE.

DON'T JUST FOLLOW PEOPLE BLINDLY.

Read and heed the BIBLE.

 IF THEY ARE WRONG - ARE ON THE WRONG PATH - YOU WILL NOT END UP IN HEAVEN.

Pray GO to JESUS, and pray & keep on praying, hold on to HIM, follow HIM always. Never NEVER turn away from what JESUS says or teaches....just do it.  JESUS is our faithful guide the only 1 WHO can be trusted to never lead us wrong.

GOD in the Old Covenant (also known as the Old Testament) is extremely specific in HIS comandments on how we are to worship HIM. Two entire BOOKs are filled with HIS instructions in this area.

Praise GOD forever, we have a New Covenant (New Testament) now that isn't as complicated.:

They laughed when they asked us what do we know about their country.

I said, "Cartegena is there...and drug dealers. Romancing the Stone's Joan Wilder had quite an adventure there."

They had seen the movie too.

"oh, but, that is not what our country is like." they said.

I knew that. Hollywood is known for alot of things, but TRUTH telling is NOT one of those things. No. I never believe anything that comes out of Hollywood. Fantasy 100% Fables, lies. Even when a picture comes out about our LORD and Saviour... you have to be on guard because they LOVE to change things around, seems as if they can't STOP themselves from doing it.

Anway, our friends' time here is soon coming to an end. In February they go back. Although they moved out on their own weeks ago, we will miss them.

Hi, Everybody!

As you can see from AngelRose's Journal, I've just been tagged.

:) Thanks, AngelRose... what can I say?  I love you like a sister.

Well, To tell you the TRUTH, although I try never to think about the things I hate (GOD is so GOOD with helping me keep my eyes on the good and pure and the worthy of praise things...you see- Not that I think I am doing such a great job...I don't even think about it much, so it Must be HIS HOLY SPIRIT helping me out! Thank the LORD!)

Anyway, it was REALLY easy to come up with this list. (I dare say I could probably add a couple more....but let me NOT get to liking this mode of thinking too much!)   :)

THE 5 TOP THINGS THAT I ABSOLUTELY HATE-THEY MAKE ME CRAZY-ANGRY ARE:

1)devils that spread lies to trick people not to believe in or follow JESUS

2)devils that spread lies about CHRISTIANS that other (so-called?)CHRISTIANS believe

3) When Christians who don't read their BIBLES fall for the enemies BLATANT lies!

4)(so-called?) CHRISTIANS that spread the lies of the devil (rrrrrrrrrrrrrrghhhhhhhhh!) sometimes even ATTACKING their brothers and sisters (& JESUS HIMSELF) in CHRIST!  

5) When I myself am tricked by our enemy, and mess up.  Don't you just HATE our enemy! ?

 DEAR FRIENDS AND FAMILY~

The desire of Gospel for Asia native missionaries is to reach as many lost souls as they can with the Gospel. Therefore, one of the most fulfilling times in their lives occurs when they are able to enter a village for the first time, carrying with them the Good News of Jesus Christ.

GFA mobile teams play a big part in helping missionaries spread the Gospel to more villages. Mobile teams spend about a week with local missionaries and pastors, going with them to nearby villages that have yet to be reached. They talk about Jesus with any who will listen and pass out Gospel tracts. In the evenings they show Man of Mercy, a film on the life of Jesus.

When the mobile team moves on to another village, they leave behind fertile ground. Some villagers will be very interested in the Gospel after seeing the film. Others will have already received salvation. Mobile teams prepare the way for local missionaries to plant more churches.

" ...This is the difference between freedom and religion. The reason you breathe is to raise the dead. It isn't something far out and whacko, but is available to every believer. Expectancy is the key. If you expect God to act, you are demonstrating faith, trust, belief. You must also stay free in the freedom that Christ gave you, and not submit yourself to the devil (doubt, fear of man, condemnation, belittling yourself, sin). Undergirding this is the fact that the joy of the Lord is your strength. If you are robbed of joy, you won't be able to stand against the foe. Your joy is robbed when you get your eyes of faith off of Jesus and onto the problem staring you in the face. For example, you can't heal blind eyes or raise the dead. But the Holy Ghost in you can do all of that and much more. That is reason for joy. And it frees you from the burden of having to make something happen, especially when you can't make anything happen. And since we have the promise of Jesus that whatever we ask for in prayer, believing, we shall receive, then we can expect God to act when we pray. If you don't know what you ought to do, the expectant heart will be led by the Holy Ghost. Go ahead and give him your little "5 loaves and 2fish" and expect him do the rest....

I so thank YOU, for YOUR Goodness, Love, and Kindness in YOUR Plans for me. YOU have promised to perfect that which concerns me. The steps of a good man, YOU said, are ordered by the LORD, and he delights in HIS way.
